Directions to Creekside/Squaw Prep

Creekside Charter School is located at 1916 Chamonix Place, Olympic Valley CA.
Creekside has 12 beautiful and state of the art individual classrooms. We are located right at the base of Squaw Valley’s famous “Tram Face”.

Getting to our campus:
Take Squaw Valley Access Road off of route 89. Once you reach the end of the road continue straight as if you are driving to the Olympic Valley Lodge. At the far end of the parking lot there are some older red employee housing units. Our newer natural brown buildings are located directly behind the Squaw employee housing units. Please check in at the Administrative Office Building when you arrive. SEE YOU SOON!!!!

Creekside began in Tahoe City as a cooperative effort of a few families, led by Melissa Mohler, looking for education options for their children in the Tahoe basin. Operating as a learning center under several programs since 1998 (including Tahoe Truckee Unified School District and Forest Charter School), Creekside successfully developed a unique independent study hybrid education model. Independent study offers students an outlet to foster outside passions and interests while maintaining high academic standards in a classroom setting four days a week with dedicated and highly qualified teachers. In 2009, Creekside developed its own charter and approached the Newcastle Elementary School District who authorized Creekside under the Newcastle Elementary School District. In 2013, Newcastle authorized the Squaw Valley Preparatory charter, extending our education philosophy and mission through grade 12. We are thrilled to have our home at the base of Squaw Valley mountain as we further our connections with the local communities and inspire greatness in every student.
